Nestlé Purina is expanding! Introducing Nestlé Purina’s newest factory in the U.S. – in Hartwell, Georgia – just shy of 110 miles northeast of Atlanta. We’re opening a state of the art distribution center in 2018 and production facility in 2019 – our first new factory in over 20 years! We’re thrilled to be joining the Hartwell, GA community and to welcome as many as 240 new members to the Nestlé Purina family by 2023. With more than 100 acres, this 500,000 square foot facility will serve as our most versatile facility with the ability to switch product lines faster and more efficiently than we have ever done before; all while distributing the Nestlé Purina brands our customers trust and pets love!

Manufacturing is the very core of our business. The Production Operators within our factories have their hands in it all. You’ll train in several functional areas within the manufacturing environment so you can effectively provide support to our production teams. Since safety is a top priority at Purina, much of your responsibility will focus on ensuring that our equipment and machinery remain in top-notch condition. Your ability to acclimate and problem solve quickly will be critically important as unforeseen equipment issues may arise throughout the normal operation day. You’ll have the opportunity to see our operations through the different shifts, working with experts in each of the different areas within manufacturing. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Safely operates production equipment, including fork truck, packing lines and processing equipment
Produce quality products and/or deliver products on time at the specified rates.
Perform quality checks and meet product specifications.
Perform proper Lock Out/Tag Out Procedures.
Perform designated mechanical work on equipment to make operation run at efficient and timely pace.
Perform sanitation duties and material handling.
Recognize problems with the equipment and address as necessary.
Perform changeovers.
Support the factory in continuous improvement initiatives
Perform all other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience: 6 months+ experience working in a manufacturing, production, agriculture, warehouse, military or related environment.
