Wells Fargo Wholesale Technology is seeking a capable and motivated individual to be a member of the Tax Technology team based in Charlotte, NC. We are seeking a tax technology professional with proven experience in system development, implementation and integration in Onboarding, Withholding, Data management and Reporting aspects of the domestic and international tax technology program. This position will execute technology implementation plan, extending existing technology solution or assist with implementing new technology, with a focus on efficiency and effective use of technology to streamline tax regulatory compliance and reporting.

The Tax Technology Application Developer (TTAD) will assist in understanding requirements, design, selection, and implementation of tax software for global and local purposes. The TTAD will be responsible for configuring and integrating those choices through the entire business cycle for tax, including but not limited to Client onboarding, Tax Form Validation, Client tax information repository, Withholding rules engine, reporting and printing. The integration of client tax data with various components will be a critical part of the delivery to ensure effective operation of the Tax solution. The TTAD will interface with a multidisciplinary team of tax technical and technology professionals who understand the spectrum of tax compliance as well as system development life cycle, technology infrastructure, information security and data privacy. A successful TTAD will have Broad-based knowledge of tax system and focus on continuous process and solution improvement

Key responsibilities include:
Identifying and documenting business requirements
Identifying and documenting functional design
develop testing scenarios
create process and data flows
Implementing tax systems and related documentation
Performing prototyping
Performing testing
Assisting in the quality assurance process
Conducting (or assisting with) training
Defining support procedures
The preferred work location is Charlotte, NC. Preference will be given to those candidates that either currently live in or are willing to relocate to Charlotte, NC with no reloction assistance

Required Qualifications

5+ years of application development and implementation experience
5+ years of development experience with one or more of the following: Java, C++, C#, C, or .NET
2+ years of database experience
2+ years of SQL experience

Desired Qualifications

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Knowledge and understanding of technical documentation: creation of detailed design and technical artifacts
Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills
Experience leading multiple implementations
Process design or improvement experience
Knowledge and understanding of process re-engineering and technology
A BS/BA degree or higher in accounting, finance, or economics
BS/BA in computer science, applied statistics, quantitative economics, operations research or a related field

Other Desired Qualifications
Experience with Tax technology related deliverables in big 4 consulting or financial industry a big plus
Experience with Tax onboarding, reporting and withholding systems/vendors.
Experience working with tax and accounting professionals
Workflow design and implementation
Highly motivated and organized
