UW Facilities manages the University’s buildings, infrastructure and land, with more than 1,100 employees in a variety of fields. The Asset Management group includes Capital & Space Management, Real Estate, Sustainability and other teams responsible for planning and workload management. The Operations group includes Project Delivery, Maintenance & Construction, Campus Utilities & Operations, Building Services, Transportation Services and Safety. Supporting these groups, as well as the separate Emergency Management team, are the Business Intelligence & Information Technology group and the Finance & Administration group.
We have an outstanding opportunity for a Construction Procurement Project Integrator to provide a range of contracting support to the Project Delivery Team (PDG), including PDG project and construction managers, design and construction partners, and other University units. This position will perform a variety of duties including contract administration, prepare contracting and project document reports, identify relevant contracting issues, develop, organize and track documents, prepare correspondence, check and edit legal documents for accuracy and coding, and project closeout. This position will ensure project data quality, validate all information, and work independently using judgement to manage contract risks.
The position requires understanding of and skill in working in both the design and construction phases, as well as in a team environment. University interests and requirements must be met while simultaneously working to ensure that the project teams have the information, tools, and decisions needed to successfully execute their projects. The position requires working with a wide range of university stakeholders, as well as consultants and contractors, and ensuring that the flow of information is effective and that all team members are meeting commitments and deadlines.
This position will prepare and track contractual documents, using independent judgement for terms and quality of the contracts, including all changes to contract documents.
The Project Integrator (PI) is a key member of the PDG team, works closely with project managers, construction managers, and design and construction partners, and is responsible for a variety of work that supports our projects being completed successfully. The successful Project Integrator is a generalist rather than a specialist, is able to problem-solve both individually and in a team environment, and is able to represent the University when the project manager or construction manager may be unavailable. This position will obtain and track bonds, insurance and other terms of the contract to ensure they match the contract requirements. The PI will maintain an accurate database of information to prepare accurate reports for Board of Regents, key clients and stakeholders.

Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or construction management.
6-8 years’ experience managing and executing design and construction contracts.
Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.
Experience working in a public sector project delivery organization.
