Pipeline’s ideal candidate will be responsible for performing research analysis and providing insights to our leadership and sales teams. Areas of research will include existing markets, potential markets, industry trends as well as the impact of competitors and suppliers. The Marketing Analyst will also evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns including advertisements on platforms such as Google, LinkedIn and Facebook. Additional technical expertise in website analytics and experience in the development of digital catalog content is highly desirable.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Market Analysis/Reporting
  • Evaluate market penetration
  • Highlight positive financial outcomes (e.g. profitable customer segments) to increase the company’s profitability
  • Identify new market opportunities based on feedback from sales team
  • Determine brand perceptions and reputations utilizing surveys
  • Conduct secondary research, including finding information from industry associations, statisticians and marketing experts
  • Work with sales and marketing to assist in the development of sales strategies
  • Product Analysis/Reporting
  • Offer insights about potential new products/markets
  • Complete concept testing for new products
  • Competitor and Supplier Analyses
  • Evaluate demographics, prices, distribution channels, and marketing outlets
  • Analyze marketing metrics to identify cause and effect relationships
  • Marketing and Advertising Analysis/Reporting
  • Utilize tools such as Google Analytics and Multiview to measure and adapt the effectiveness of our organic and paid search efforts
  • Use a similar methodology to evaluate social media and other online sites
  • Program/Campaign Support: Be prepared to support other business initiatives as needed, such as:
  • Data-based lead generation
  • Developing illustrative charts, maps, etc. for presentations
  • Developing PowerPoints and other educational material
  • Data cleansing
  • Teaching software proficiencies (Excel, Salesforce, etc.)

Skills & Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Marketing, Engineering, Quantitative Analysis, Computer Science, or Business Analytics.
  • Strong business acumen, time management and organizational skills,
  • Self-motivated and high enthusiasm who easily works well as a part of a group; flexibility is critical
  • Develop effectual relationships and operate with senior executives,
  • Exceptional writing as well as speaking/presentation skills
  • Demonstrable research, analytical, problem solving methodologies and data manipulation skills using the more common software applications such as:
  • Microsoft Office 365 Enterprise
  • com
  • Power BI
  • SPSS, Tableau and other statistical analyses software
  • Limited travel will be expected, primarily for educational reasons
  • Prefer a knowledge of sales, business and marketing processes; specific knowledge of industrial distribution a plus
