Location: New York City, NY
As a web designer at Hook&Loop, you’ll join a dedicated design team responsible for overseeing Infor’s visual identity. You will be equally invested in crafting high-fidelity visual and user experience design. You must have exceptional command of visual composition, typographic hierarchy, and creating scalable web experiences.
You will oversee and optimize the user experience on Infor’s website: infor.com . From the overarching user flow to refining small details in UI, you will ensure there is a cohesive experience across the site. You’ll also lend your design skills to a variety of brand and communications collateral: templates and guidelines, presentations, event experiences, and more.
A Day in The Life Typically Includes
Design and deliver wireframes and mockups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces
Create effective and modern interfaces and interactions for the web
Continuously contribute to Infor’s design language via our style guide and design system
Conceptualize, design, and update marketing materials, including web experiences, emails, brochures, presentations, and events collateral
Advocate for Infor's design principles, best practices, and guidelines to a variety of internal teams and partners
Responsible for creating H&L's branded materials, support the different departments’ needs as necessary and establish a solid brand visual guideline.
What You Will Need:
Bachelor’s degree in communication design or equivalent
3–5 years of experience in Web/UI design, or a similar role
Comprehensive understanding of developing for the web, in regard to file organization and development handoff
Outstanding skills in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, and Jira
Demonstrate an understanding of design guidelines, including layout, typography, and visual hierarchy
Innovate and offer new ideas while solving practical problems
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with excellent time management, organization, and communication skills
What Will Put You Ahead?
Experience working in fast-paced startup-like environment
Experience working with enterprise design systems
Understanding of HTML and CSS
Working in an agile development process
Knowledge or experience with Principle or any prototyping tools is a plus iOS and Android mobile design experience
Excellent communication skills and be able to deliver rapidly within a lean process and alongside multiple stakeholders. You must be able to translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.
