NTT DATA Services currently seeks a Project Manager - IT projects to join our team in Washington, District of Columbia (US-DC), United States (US).
This position will work directly with Department and Component executive and leadership staff in the assessment, evaluation, reporting and governance of multi-faceted, high-visibility projects. Daily activities will include but not be limited to:
Presentations and interaction with government executive and leaders related to Homeland Security and Immigration-related projects
Communicating project status with and from team members, management and government stakeholders inside and outside the Agency
Oversee Independent Validation and Verification (IV&V) and Quality Assurance Activities of 100+ Agile and DevOps teams, in accordance with industry, ISO and other standards, and government regulations/best practices
Developing project growth opportunities and strategies
Assisting the Agency develop, implement and subsequently monitor consistently maturing and evolving Lean, Agile and DevOps practices
Identifying project risks and dependencies and providing implementation alternatives to mitigate project risk related to scope, schedule and budget
Managing and mentoring project team members in the development of business cases, project plans, status reports and project management documentation as required by clients
Working with senior management on resource allocations, project responsibilities and tasking, as well as mentoring and training resources as necessary
Functioning as a facilitator to clarify business and technical requirements which cross project team boundaries in and within matrixed client organizations
Performing all tasks with strong written and verbal communication skills
5 or more years' experience in IT Project Management.
3 - 5 years' of Project Management dealing with deliverable-based projects.
3 - 5 years' experience with Business Transformation, IT Strategy. Planning, and Road mapping.
