The Nursing Assistant I and II are directly accountable to the Charge Nurse and ultimately the Nurse Manager for the performance of routine tasks and duties in the care of patients as assigned and under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. He or She delivers care that is specific to the age, growth and development of patients according to unit scope of services.

Minimum Requirements
  • The Nursing Assistant II must be a graduate of an approved course of study for the NA I and NA II Program and have a current listing with the N.C. Division of Facility Services for NA I and N.C.

  • Board of Nursing for a NA II license.

  • He or She must have good grooming and exhibit professional conduct; a desire and ability to cooperate with and/or under the direction of others; possess and exhibit a sense of responsibility, initiative and honesty; and dedicated to providing optimal patient care, physician assistance and promotion of good will among co-workers.

  • Current CPR - BLS Heartsaver is required through American Heart Association.
