Position Overview

District 704 Home Furnishings is seeking highly self-motivated and driven individuals to achieve sales goals, contribute to overall store success, and ensure an outstanding customer experience. Our Sales and Design Associates are professionals with solid work ethics, outstanding organizational skills, and excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. A demonstrated ability to quickly and easily build rapport with a diverse group of customers is required. We offer a strong compensation structure that allows our sales staff the opportunity to earn $30,000 to $55,000 a year.

College education preferred, High School or equivalent required

Motivated by achieving sales goals through persistence, organization, and follow-up
Ability to connect and establish relationships with a wide variety of customers
Excellent communication, listening and problem solving skills
Ability to work as a team player with sales colleagues
No prior home furnishings experience required
Interest in interior design or fashion is an asset, but not required
Ability to work a more moderate Monday - Thursday 10-6pm, Friday - Saturday 10-7pm, Sunday 1-6pm retail schedule with weekend work and 2 days off during the week


Our Sales/Design Associates are guides that help our clients to discover their own personal style and match them up with the products that reflect the look they want to achieve in their home.

Warmly greet the customer and assess their needs. Deliver exceptional customer service to every customer.
Provide a thorough explanation of company and products.
Consistently meet target sales goals.
Guide the customer through product selection and provide them with the features, advantages, and benefits of each choice.
Follow-up with customer requests, build customer loyalty, and acquire referrals.
Assist customers in financing and delivery arrangements.
Increase product knowledge through resources such as vendor sales trainings, catalogs, and other company tools.
Maintain sales aids such as catalogs, pricing information, fabric swatches, and hang tags.
Assist in inventory management.
