Position Information
The Office of Human Resource Management invites applicants to apply for a full-time position with benefits. The Assistant Director will assist with the day-to-day operations of the human resources office and is primarily responsible for training and development activities, the newsletter, the website, orientation, and on-boarding activities. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities
Function as a HR Generalist; conduct classification and compensation analysis; employee and labor relations/contract administration; general oversight of HR office; and training and development activities. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Classification 25-0000 Education, Training, and Library Occupations
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree or higher in related field. Five years of human resources work experience. Excellent communication skills to include written communication. Must have excellent interpersonal skills. Must have skills in mediation and investigation. Must be able to train employees and organize events.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in higher education. Experience in a Collective Bargaining environment. Experience in a multicultural environment. SPHR or SHRM Certification.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Must be detail oriented and be able to multi-task. Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office Software.
