The McChrystal Group Leadership Institute is looking for a Research Associate to join its Research and Development (R&D) team. As part of the R&D team, the Associate will conduct research in support of curriculum design and development of training products related to the development of leaders, teams, and organizations. This role will support a Director of the R&D team focusing on particular learning themes such as leadership behaviors, strategy and execution, judgement and decision making, communication, and culture.

Acquire an in-depth understanding of McChrystal Group products and methodology
Conduct research and synthesize findings to be incorporated into curriculum and/or thought leadership publications
Design and build new learning content and curriculum
Collect feedback from client-facing teams and incorporate iterative changes into presentations, materials, and exercises
Innovate on existing content to keep trainings relevant and in line with current and upcoming trends
Contribute to and/or co-author thought leadership publications (i.e., articles, blogs, etc.)
Design and execute internal training on McChrystal Group products
Support knowledge management for the R&D team and the organization
Actively and positively contribute to McChrystal Group culture; drive collaboration, communication, and innovation throughout the organization

Undergraduate degree in humanities or social sciences with 3+ years of relevant experience
Graduate degree in humanities or social sciences preferred
Strong analytical, research, and writing skills
Experience seeking and gathering relevant research materials and synthesizing complex information into concise summaries
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively and think creatively with a focus on innovative learning
Self-motivated team player with the ability to work on concurrent assignments and change roles quickly when necessary
Solutions-oriented attitude with the ability to adapt to changing priorities or multiple iterations of work
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with strong attention to detail
Demonstrated ability in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment with a high degree of endurance and flexibility
Advanced MS Office skills, specifically PowerPoint

Experience in development and administration of adult learning curriculum and training offerings and other Organizational Development products
Experience working directly with clients and a demonstrated ability to understand client needs, preferences, and expectations
Experience in storyboarding narratives
