THIS IS A CORPORATE POSITION
The Senior Director of Quality Assurance is responsible for creating, implementing and managing all aspects of Quality Assurance and Food Safety programs within Papa John's North America and Latin America supporting Supply Chain, R&D, Quality Control Center Operations and Field Operations. The position requires an in-depth knowledge of supplier auditing and audit standards as well as use of tools for statistical process capability. This position will lead a team of Quality Product Managers and technicians responsible for ensuring Papa John's quality standards throughout our North America Supply Chain and QCC operations in the Americas while supporting continuous improvement with our supplier partners and in our QCC Operations.
Lead and manage the QA team with oversight of all North America and Latin America suppliers and QCC fresh dough manufacturing and distribution centers
Responsible for the development and implementation of Quality Assurance processes to ensure compliance to Papa John's standards and regulatory requirements for QCC Operations and restaurants.
Ensures supplier compliance to all product specifications through process control evaluation and analytical analysis.
Maintains and updates Papa John's audit standards staying current with the food industry with a focus on Quality Systems.
Lead the food recall, withdrawal, and food crisis management process and ensures enterprise risk management process execution and compliance.
Ensures compliance to comprehensive supplier qualification process for new suppliers and/or new product launches.
Ensures QA complaint tracking process is followed with timely communication, follow-up and resolution.
Team is responsible for all aspects of QA Lab including monthly product compliance testing.
Assist R&D in the development and implementation process of new product development.
Assist in the development and implementation of innovative production technologies in QCC's and supplier plant operations.
Assist in developing risk management strategies with the ERM team
Take leading role in Papa John's Food Policy and development of product specifications
Ensures regulatory requirement compliance within Restaurants, QCC operations and Supply Chain.
Develop and manage department budget.
Drive systems and processes to aid in GFSI and HARPC certifications.
Lead the Animal Welfare Council and ensure policies are updated.
Establish department goals and objectives with cross functional alignment and company goals.
Delivers, thorough timely and insightful reports on quality and food safety, performance outcomes to senior leaders
Manage team performance in a fast paced high performance work culture.
Have what it takes?
Bachelors degree required. Food Science preferred
Minimum ten plus (10) years progressive management experience required in food industry, preferably in restaurant supplier and regulatory quality assurance or consumer products food manufacturing
Subject matter expert on food safety, QA and audit regulations, trends, tools and programs
Recognized expertise in industry as a result of prior positions, professional publications and speaking engagements, membership on industry committees.
Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) preferred
