The Red Hat Business team is looking for a Product Marketing Intern to join us in Westford, MA. In this role, you will assist the OPE and EcoTeam with the business modeling of solutions, services, and other partner-led offerings in a marketplace distribution setting. You’ll create the analytics, impact, and projections of a variety of potential opportunities to achieve revenue through Red Hat's own marketplace as well as through federated models with our current distribution and reseller and technology partners. As a Product Marketing Intern, you’ll need to be knowledgeable of the technology industry, focused on commerce and business models, and able to run projects that have meaningful business impact for Red Hat and our partner ecosystem.
Primary job responsibilities
Analyze and make presentations on the state of application, infrastructure, and service-led purchasing by mid market and enterprise customers
Lead a competitive analysis of offerings from Amazon, Oracle, Microsoft, and IBM in conjunction with buying programs, financing, incentives, procurement, and other factors
Set up and lead a series of focus group deliverables (digital and in person) with partners and customers
Compile industry reports, analyst reviews, and other salient projections and information from key influencers
Experience in the software or technology industry
Familiarity with buying programs, procurement, and sales operations in the software industry
Good analytical and research skills
Business modeling and analytical skills
Good soft skills; ability to coordinate with a broad range of internal associates as well as external customers, partners, and influencers
