The Group Housing Coordinator supports Group Housing Supervisor and Reservations Sales Agents. Works directly with Conference Services and Sales to monitor group inventory, input lists, and update billing.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
Processes all group blocks from the sales department. Effectively enters all group blocks into reservation computer system. Sets inventory controls or host blocks for each group. Follows up with the sales department regarding all questions that stem from groups. Monitors group blocks after they have been entered into computer system.Assists group guests with their reservation needs, and ensures the flawless delivery of service to the guests through the accurate input of rooming lists, and billing.
Attends Pre-convention, pick up meeting, and other meetings as required.
Conducts group link audits to ensure guests are able to book online.
Creates Golf Package breakdowns for Golf Groups.
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:
- Assists Director of Reservations to ensure the efficient operation of the Reservations Department.
- Researches and coordinates meeting materials for meetings.
- Monitors group reservations agents with coaching and counseling and assists Director of Reservations in all disciplinary actions regarding group reservations agents.
- Manages quality control of group reservations.
- Handles guest complaints and assists group reservations agents in problem solving techniques.

Two years with travel industry reservations system and hotel property management systems mandatory, in a supervisory positon and with strong group experience
