Scope of Work
Normal Work Week:
Monday through Friday (nights/weekend based on project need)
Hours Per Week:
40 hours (unpaid lunch hours)
Hours of Work:
8:00 to 5:00
a. Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering with five years' experience in
electrical-related projects OR
b. A four-year high school diploma or its educational experience with nine years'
experience in electrical-related projects.

a. Knowledge of Direct Current (DC) and Third Rail Operations
b. Knowledge of electrical-based systems, installations and applicable codes and
c. Knowledge and/or experience with NYCT operations and mass-transit facilities

e. Computer literate with working knowledge of MS Word and Excel. CADD

Description of Work:
Under managerial direction, the selected candidate(s) will provide field support during the
design and construction of capital projects:
- Support the Principal Electrical Engineer's office with various electrical-related
capital projects, especially with field surveys and investigations.
- Assist Principal Electrical Engineer or his designee with resolution of DC and third
rail work issues.
- Organize project information, reports; process design and electrical-related
documents; and interact with other departments.
30-Hour OSHA Certification is required.

Must pass a one-day Track Safety & General Order Training Course prior to
participating any in work CPM project.
