Full Job Description
The Container Platform Engineering team is a talented organization focused on the execution and delivery of highly resilient and scalable platforms utilizing Container-as-a-Service technologies. As a member of the Container Platform Engineering team the selected candidate will lead and partner with various application owners, platform leads and team members to design, execute and continuously improve container technologies. The candidate must have knowledge of Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) technologies such as VMWare Tanzu Application Service (TAS) and Container-as-a-Service (CaaS) technologies such as Kubernetes.

Expected to independently negotiate dependencies and priorities with numerous stakeholders.
Must be a change agent able to develop, implement and maintain policies and processes.
Collaborates with peer technology organizations, business units, clients and management to review application, system and infrastructure functionality and develop plans for improvement.
Leads development and implementation of strategies focused on greater efficiencies to deliver systems and platforms.
Identifies and implements strategies to reduce platform Mean-Time-To-Resolution (MTTR) leveraging System Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices and automation principles.
Manages continuous improvement of service engineering, delivery, and operational practices.
Reduces business impact by eliminating unnecessary downtime and disruptions.
Understanding of current business and technology trends to identify opportunities for improve services and reduce risk.
Effectively navigates organization structure and culture to negotiate positive outcomes.
What you have
Extensive Knowledge of Container-as-a-Service Technologies including:
Google Anthos/Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
Extensive Knowledge of Platform-as-a-Service technologies including:
VMWare Tanzu Application Service (TAS)
Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) technologies including:
Hypervisor (VMWare ESX)
Routing (VMWare NSX-T)
Load Balancing (F5, AVi, etc.)
Knowledge of monitoring and logging technologies including:
VMWare Tanzu Observability/Wavefront
Demonstrates ability to achieve successful outcomes in handling difficult situations and work with various customers and management levels.
Demonstrates previously working in Agile team working in SCRUM and Kanban formats.
Must be able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
Target Total Compensation: $101,400 - 165,400
