The Patient Advocate will lead all community engagement efforts within their respective region, to include coordinating event marketing efforts with Provider Advocates and local Wellness Center Teams to host/participate in all community events within designated region. The Patient Advocate will report directly to the Senior Manager of Patient Advocacy
The Patient Advocate should possess the ability to build consensus across multiple teams to serve and expand the Wellness Center’s community. May also serve as the community spokesperson, and therefore must be an expert communicator, possessing a sincere passion for whole body wellness and the mission of Surterra Wellness.
The Patient Advocacy Team will focus on a wide range of activation work – from growing local community awareness and support, engaging multiple stakeholders, building excitement for upcoming events, and organizing small and large gatherings in order to support customers, patients, local communities and advocacy groups. Projects will require strong organization, event planning, social adeptness, familiarity/proficiency with social media channels, calendar development, and customer support.
You’ll be on the ground floor with a team that strives to transform the way the public views and utilizes medical cannabis.
CORE JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ignite and maintain relationships with patient advocacy groups, relevant community organizations/non-profits, and city/county stakeholders within designated region.
Drive various grassroots-style marketing campaigns within region, managing both short and long- term initiative and strategy, to generate a positive ROI.
Establish relationships with media contacts, and identify where we can share patient success stories (with patient approval).
Partner with local Physician Sales and Wellness Center Teams within region to manage onsite and offsite events weekly.
Engage with communities at large, via small and large-scale events within region, in order to promote overall cannabis program awareness and provide product education.
Serve as brand ambassador and local face of Surterra Wellness at regional community events, patient advocacy walks, community forums, panel discussions, relevant tradeshows, patient support groups, etc.
Identify, employ and manage intern/temporary hire programs as necessary to meet regional marketing campaign goals.
Effectively manage time in area to identify new relationships and opportunities, manage current ones, and expertly target and meet all mission/outreach goals.
Track all community activity, manage regional calendar of events weekly and ultimately report to the Senior Manager, Patient Advocacy
