Business Manager / Dealership Controller

As our organization continues to grow, we are currently looking for a Business Manager / Dealership Controller to oversee all dealership accounting functions performed for multiple dealership locations. This position is responsible for the hiring and development of all office and accounting staff within these automotive dealerships. They will work closely with the Area Controller and General Manager to ensure financial controls are in place, operating effectively and understood. This position requires the individual to have the ability to hire, terminate, train, coach, counsel and empower to reach performance expectations and responsibilities.

  • Proven experience building and growing accounting teams
  • 3-5 years bookkeeping and/or accounting experience
  • Strong willingness to adhere to established policies/procedures, and hold others accountable
  • Recruit and maintain a high-caliber staff
  • Knowledge in Excel, Word, Outlook and CDK Global
  • Support key financial control efforts
  • Review and identify profitability opportunities through review of store performance
  • Maintain ongoing communication with Regional Controller, Area Controller, General Managers, and other key operational leaders as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or commensurate experience
  • Experience in leadership roles with increasing degree of responsibility
  • Prior dealership or operational accounting experience a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and high sense of urgency
