Job Summary
Coordinates and provides support for development, training, and implementation of human resources reports, processes, systems, and projects; uses programming languages and database logic to support Ellucian Banner, Argos, and other third-party information systems and applications.

Essential Job Functions
Read and write PL/SQL programming language.

Operates a computer to create department reports and to develop, oversee, and complete projects.

Work independently to develop programs to accomplish necessary objectives.

Communicates in person, via email, and telephone.

Develops, enhances and sustains procedures, processes and systems, including checklists and forms.

Job Specific Task List
1. Coordinates and collaborates with IT, HR, payroll, and other departments as needed, to test and implement Banner HR upgrades, patches, and functionality by: reviewing documentation; coordinating activities and timelines; and testing functionality.

2. Develops processes and procedures to manage data and files exchanged between Banner and third party systems; oversees file exchanges and investigates and corrects errors.

3. Analyzes user needs and reviews, develops, or redesigns reports and processes using PL/SQL programming, Argos, Banner, and other systems to improve operational efficiency, reduce errors, and adapt to new requirements.

4. Creates standard and complex queries against Oracle database for adhoc reporting.

5. Performs troubleshooting; assists with maintaining data integrity; performs general maintenance of programming code; researches new technology; analyzes utilization of existing systems; updates HR web portal content; administers HR-related requests for system security.

6. Represents HR in meetings related to technical/system matters; serves as communication liaison between IT and HR for work request tickets, escalations, planning, and collaboration; ensures department compliance with IT best practices and requirements.

7. Maintains working knowledge of HR-specific programs, processes, needs, systems, and data.

8. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree and three years of experience in a related field.

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential duties of the job.

Physical Requirements

Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
