ITS Intern for Information Technology will assist all areas of IT rotating though the departments to gain exposure to all areas. They will also assist with any urgent projects for any of the departments as directed.
The ITS Intern will work under the direction of the Director of IT Service Delivery. The managing director will coordinate with the other leaders of the IT departments were they will schedule the intern to support their departments. While assigned to other departments in IT they will work directly with that department head and have the opportunity to learn how the different aspects of Information Technology work.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to...
Evaluate business processes, uncover areas for improvements and develop potential solutions.
Communicate lessons learned and project status to Director of IT Service Delivery.
Will be assigned projects to work on in the various departments
Provide a completed package of work assignments with overview of learning at completion of internship.
Review current practices and policies.
Conduct audits of software, licensing and hardware.
Assist with conceptual, functional and physical architecture documentation and diagrams.
Shadow team members to enhance understanding of IT.
Effectively communicate your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
Ensure assignment solutions meet business needs and requirements.
Monitor deliverables and ensure timely completion of work.
Our Ideal Candidate Profile:
Any level working towards a Bachelor's degree program. Preferred if working toward an IT related program.
Understanding of Information Technology.
1-2 years of work experience of any capacity (can be positions held while in school).
Strong computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Demonstrated understanding of Project Management concepts.
Tech-savvy; able to quickly develop expertise in learning platform software.
Flair for supporting the development of engaging and effective learning content.
Excellent verbal and written skills.
Intuitive people skills.
Strong organizational and customer service skills.
Ability to keep impeccable records and to sustain strong attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to handle detailed work accurately and quickly, work to deadlines on multiple tasks, to work as a team member in a collaborative and participatory manner, and to interact both in person and over the phone with a courteous and professional demeanor.
Demonstrated self-learner interested in continued professional development and personal growth.
