Marketing Specialist
Position Overview:
Busy pet care business is seeking a self-motivated, experienced Marketing Specialist with a love for all things furry and a creative eye for storytelling to plan, develop, and implement events, social media content, and other marketing campaigns that will delight, engage, and expand our audience. We are looking for someone who will be an important part of our team to bring their creativity, passion, great experience, skill, and know-how to taking our company to the next level!
Key Responsibilities
- The Marketing Specialist will work creatively and collaboratively with multiple stakeholders to devise, craft, package and deliver marketing communications and events that support the Woofie’s brand direction and achieve the goals and priorities of the business.
- The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for all Marketing activities including social media marketing, email marketing campaigns, digital marketing, and event management.
- Facilitate the organization, design, execution, testing and evaluation of communications to reach a broad range of target audiences.
- Responsible for event management including planning, coordination, promotion and staffing.
- Responsible for building a range of engaging social media content (e.g., videos, photos, key messages) across the major social media accounts.
- This position will serve as the internal expert for Marketing efforts using data to drive decision-making and to advise the team.
- Oversee and manage a third-party provider to ensure that website activities are optimized including SEO, PPC, and LSA.
- Analyze and assess performance across social media channels. This includes performance of individual posts and content to measure effectiveness, efficiency, and impact. Prepare consistent reporting and analysis to track marketing performance and maximize ROI.
- Provide real-time social media monitoring of comments on platforms and develop strategy for replying.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 year's experience managing Marketing activities on behalf of an organization.
- BS or BA degree required in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
- Must have demonstrated experience in event planning and management.
- Demonstrated track record of creating original social media content with images or videos. (Must have a portfolio or content to provide for review.)
- Demonstrated proficiency in email marketing tools and strategies.
- Must be energetic self-starter to work independently to achieve desired results and goals
- Knowledge of print advertising methods and strategies
- Enthusiastic team player and collaborator.
- Creative thinker and strategist, willing and able to bring new ideas
- Must have a passion for dogs, cats and animals!
NOTE: This is a full-time position, working Tuesday through Saturday.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.89 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
