Job Title: Production Supervisor
Location: Louisville, KY
Reports To: Operations Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated bilingual Production Supervisor who will manage daily operations on the production floor, ensuring production schedules are met, quality standards are maintained, and safety protocols are followed. This role involves supervising a team of workers, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Management:
- Oversee day-to-day production activities to ensure timely and efficient production.
- Schedule work shifts, allocate tasks, and manage workforce to meet production targets.
- Ensure that production schedules are adhered to and report any delays or issues to management.
Supervision of Staff:
- Lead, motivate, and manage production teams, including team leads, machine operators, and packers.
- Ensure a safe working environment, implementing and enforcing health and safety guidelines.
- Conduct training for staff to improve skill levels and maintain high productivity.
- Monitor staff performance, handle attendance, and enforce discipline as necessary.
Quality Control:
- Ensure products are manufactured according to company quality standards and customer specifications.
- Conduct routine inspections and quality checks on products and materials.
- Address production defects or delays promptly to minimize impact on output.
Process Improvement:
- Analyze production processes and identify areas for improvement to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.
- Identify areas for improvement in production processes, reducing waste, and increasing efficiency.
- Implement lean manufacturing techniques to streamline operations.
Equipment Maintenance:
- Ensure Machine Operators are performing necessary PM tasks.
- Coordinate with maintenance team to address any immediate equipment repair needs.
Problem Solving and Troubleshooting:
- Quickly address equipment breakdowns or technical issues.
- Troubleshoot production issues to minimize downtime.
Compliance:
- Ensure the production processes adhere to company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain documentation for audits and compliance inspections.
Reporting:
- Prepare and present regular production reports, including performance metrics, operational issues, and suggestions for improvements.
- Collaborate with other departments such as purchasing, logistics, and quality assurance.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (in lieu of applicable work experience).
- Certifications in manufacturing, production management, or related areas are a plus.
Experience:
o 3-5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
o Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
Skills:
o Strong leadership and team management skills.
o Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
o Knowledge of production processes and equipment.
o Familiarity with safety regulations and quality control standards.
o Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
o Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Work Environment:
o Typically works in a factory or manufacturing plant setting.
o Exposer to seasonal temperature changes.
o The role may require standing for long periods, exposure to loud machinery, and working with potentially hazardous materials.
o May require flexibility with working hours, including evenings or weekends, to meet production deadlines or handle emergencies.
Salary Range:
$60,000 - $70,000

Mon – Thurs 6:00 – 4:30pm
