What you’ll do:
Lead a team of six business intelligence and analytics staff to deliver ongoing metrics, new insights, and business recommendations to service, trading, and technology leaders
Build executive relationships for maximum impact and to advance the overall data-driven decision culture
Develop talent by creating an engaging work environment and coaching for key skills, which include project definition, development, validation, packaging and delivery of results
Work collaboratively with others, including colleagues in our analytics group, technical partners and vendors
Deliver ongoing production reports, managing the portfolio toward usefulness, reliability and simplification
Demonstrate thought leadership by recommending modern business intelligence techniques and appropriate analytic methods
A typical month in this role might involve: facilitating a project steering meeting with 6-8 primary business leaders; presenting new dashboards and insights to project sponsors and users; guiding tool selection, methodology, technical development and code reviews for 10-15 active projects; and hosting a department event to encourage collaboration and social connections.
What you have:
Significant experience (5+ years) in strategy and/or business consulting roles leveraging both quantitative and qualitative inputs to impact business strategies and growth
Demonstrated ability (2+ years) at leading analytic and reporting staff focused on delivering fact-based insights
Experience with modern business intelligence tools, including SQL and others such as Tableau, Power BI, SAS, R, Python, and Hadoop
Strong business acumen and intellect, including an understanding of how analytics and data tie to business problem-solving
Collaborative interpersonal skills necessary to engage with business partners, scope projects, solicit and incorporate feedback, serve as a trusted content expert, and influence action
Experience at managing ongoing metrics reporting systems and scheduled dashboard updates
Demonstrated ability to recruit, retain and develop a high performing, highly engaged team
Strong oral, visualization, and written communication skills. Able to communicate and influence trade-offs in a consultative manner with technical and non-technical resources to deliver effective solutions
You might also have:
Graduate degree in data analytics or an MBA
Experience at a consulting firm, especially with projects focused on strategy and operations[
Experience in the financial services industry
