The office of the chief of staff is responsible for oversight and guidance for all projects at Perspecta. The chief of staff organizes and prioritizes critical issues and required information for the CEO and executive team to facilitate efficient decision making, and acts as a liaison between top management and other stakeholders. The office also manages congressional engagement, as well as provides oversight of the quality excellence and security organizations.
A dynamic, well organized and highly motivated individual with prior relevant experience to serve as the Facility Security Officer (FSO) to ensure full-scope program support and compliance in the Stafford, VA area. The FSO will be responsible for ensuring the company’s adherence to policies, practices, and procedures of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM for implementing the policies, practices, and procedures contained within. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide oversight of the processing of new employee security clearances including tracking within JPAS (Joint Personnel Adjudication System) and Defense Information System for Security (DISS)
Administers a Closed Area and respond to after-hours alarms and emergency conditions
Oversight and administration for a comprehensive security education, training, and awareness programs for cleared employees to include conducting Initial Security Briefings, Refresher Training, and Debriefings
Conduct periodic self-inspections on the security posture of the company to determine performance and cost effectiveness and advise management of any deficiencies and recommendations
Communicate security procedures to employees and subcontractors, and provide guidance and assistance to project managers and staff in meeting security requirements
Maintain all security documentation and files accurately for document control, visitor control, and personnel security using Access Commander and in accordance with requirements
Responsible for the preparation, management, and interfacing with the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency
Knowledge of Communication Security (COMSEC) and of COMSEC Account Custodian of keying material for communication devices to include the use of DIAS
Investigate and review security violations, preparing reports, and recommending specific preventive and corrective action to be taken
This is a FULL TIME position at our Stafford, VA location.
Requires 5 to 8 years with BS/BA or 3 to 5 years with MS/MA or 0 to 2 years with PhD.
Must have experience with DOD security processes and procedures or an equivalent regulatory environment and/or military training.
Must have a complete understanding of NISPOM, DoD Security Manuals, and COMSEC.
Must possess the ability to identify issues and develop solutions to a variety of problems.
Strong communication, computer, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
The ability to initiate and plan projects, and analyze and interpret data.
The ability to produce appropriate clear, concise and detailed documentation.
Must be able to work independently and in a team.
Proficiency with JPAS, NISS, DISS, and e-QIP
Completion of FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities Curriculum and NSA’s COMSEC Manager Training Course (IAEC-2112) and a working knowledge of NSA/CSS Policy Manual 3-16 required.
Industrial Security Professional (ISP®) Certification a plus.
Access Commander database experience preferred.
Must possess an active TOP SECRET clearance.
