At The Center for Connection, Healing and Change, we are proud of our systemic identity and commitment to providing high quality systemic services to our clients. We are looking to recruit two MFT’s, either Licensed MFT’s or Residents in MFT with less than 500 clinical hours/six months of practice left to complete for license eligibility. Positions are part or full-time. Our main goal is to find candidates who are a good fit with our existing team and can offer something unique to our current clinical offerings.
It is our experience that MFT training, from graduate program onward, requires significant personal and professional growth. We are required to know ourselves in the context of our most important relationships and grapple with the complexities of connection and individuation. We believe that this process of intense personal growth, combined with the development of a systemic lens on the world, creates a very special type of therapist.
Once you leave a systemic training experience, it can be hard to find your systemic tribe. We know that working as a lone MFT can be frustrating and isolating at times, so we created a place where systemic practice is celebrated and practiced as the gold standard.
Our treatment philosophy focuses on the power of relationships. We align with models that focus on systems theory, attachment, emotional-focus, somatic psychotherapy, and trauma. We also interweave neuroscience with the timeless wisdom of meditation, mindfulness and yoga therapy to offer holistic care to our clients.
We invest in our relationships with each other and feel inspired by working alongside our systemic peers. This often involves sharing our vulnerabilities, struggles, and experiences with each other and being willing to offer support and feedback as we grow.
As each of us offer a different clinical focus we are able to offer creative and collaborative plans of care to our clients and trust that the therapist we refer to will also be working from a systemic lens. We frequently work with children, siblings, adults, couples, and parents in the same family system to create rapid and lasting change. Finding your systemic tribe is a really satisfying place to be!
We currently need MFT’s with a clinical focus in any of the following: couples therapy (EFT), trauma, substance use, perinatal mental health, disordered relationships with food and eating, and/or military clients.
Training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Somatic Experiencing, and/or EFT, or a willingness to participate in training in these models within six months of hire, will be particularly welcomed. We often contribute to the costs of training where this is consistent with the needs of the business.
Fluency in community languages is also highly desired.
As a self-pay practice, we offer a lot of flexibility and freedom to choose your hours, earn highly competitive rates, and provide truly systemic services. This freedom also requires a focus on the business end of clinical practice and so we train our employees in the art of building referral relationships and effective caseload management.
We also offer: a highly-skilled and effective Intake Coordination service, steady flow of new referrals, advertising on all relevant directories, inclusion in our existing marketing efforts, liability insurance, clinical paperwork, EFT and systemic supervision or case consultation, cross-referrals, a beautiful office space, and an ongoing investment in your financial and professional goals.
