TheVillage is a non-profit agency providing both behavioral health and social services to children and adolescents from all over Pennsylvania. Currently, theVillage is in need of Direct Care Staff in the residential and educational settings to work with adolescent females who have significant mental and behavioral health needs, often due to severe traumas they have experienced in their lives.

The ideal candidate will have had at least two years’ experience working with children or adolescents with emotional disturbances or behavioral health needs and is interested in being an active part of their healing process. Bachelor’s degree in a social service field is preferred. Direct care staff (also called Treatment Counselors at theVillage) are responsible for providing close supervision, therapeutic interventions to help the youth meet their treatment goals and actively engage the youth throughout their shift. The position requires timely and accurate documentation of what occurs during the shift and working closely with the entire treatment team to ensure all of the youths' needs are being met.

Other requirements include a valid driver's license in the state of residence, able to pass all child abuse and criminal clearances, and an ability to remain active and alert for 8-10 hour shift.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $15.00 /hour
