Position Overview:
SinglePoint Global is looking for a Tier II SOC Technician to join to our team. The Tier II SOC Technician reports to the Director of Support and Operations and provides first line technical support to our valuable customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Works directly with customers, via phone, email and onsite, to provide services and help resolve technical issues escalated from Tier 1 support team
  • Serves as leader for Tier 1 and provides training to and mentor junior team members
  • Provides Cloud App administration
  • Sets up and configures Windows Servers
  • Administers end-user workstations and supports end-user activities utilizing TCP/IP on a primarily Microsoft Windows-based local area network
  • Investigates user problems to identify their source, determine possible solutions, test and implement solutions
  • Maintains layer 2 network equipment in accordance with established IT policies and procedures on Cisco and Dell equipment
  • Schedules and performs hardware and software installations, upgrades, backups, and data restoration
  • Maintains customer’s software licenses
  • Accurately logs service calls and maintains a log of corrective action initiated on company service request system
  • Provides Office365 management and migration assistance
  • Conducts routine network hardware and software audits to ensure compliance with established policies and configuration guidelines
  • Updates network and customer documentation, including network diagramming with Visio, Gliffy, etc.
  • Troubleshoots problems with network outages, peripherals, software applications and operating systems within established standards and guidelines
  • Develops network upgrade project plans, performs project assessments, evaluates, implement, and support post deployment
  • Implements various minor projects that enhance network availability, security and data integrity
  • Works with vendor engineers and technicians to resolve technical network problems
  • Assesses functional needs to determine IT purchase requirements.
  • Completes all required training and professional development sessions
  • Maintains confidentiality regarding the information being processed, stored or accessed by the end-users on the network
  • Participates in on-call rotation to provide after-hours and weekend support to customers as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years’ experience providing user support in a Windows environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical customers
  • Ability to learn and support new systems and applications
Required Experience:
  • Setting up, configuring and maintaining Exchange mailboxes in a business environment
  • Advanced Active Directory architecture, administration, and troubleshooting experience, including architecting, implementing and troubleshooting Group Policy
  • Advanced network troubleshooting, including TraceRoute Knowledge, Static Routes, Firewall Ports
  • Installation, configuration, and troubleshooting a variety of printer manufactures
  • Monthly monitoring, patching, and reporting
  • Configuration and advanced troubleshooting of:
o Office 2007, 2010 and 2013
o IPhones, and Droids
o DNS and DHCP troubleshooting
o VOIP
  • Understanding of Exchange roles and architecture, mail flow, SMTP, client connection protocols and fundamentals (Outlook, ActiveSync).
  • Removing remove malware and viruses
  • Knowledge of:
o Cloud product knowledge
o FTP/TFTP
o Product knowledge of Office365, Intermedia, and Salesforce
  • VoIP File Server Administration
  • Network Troubleshooting
  • Work station imaging, including: Ghost, Acronis, O&O, etc.
  • Familiarity with directory replication and topology best practices and troubleshooting
  • Documentation
  • VLAN Configuration Changes, including Virtual Server administration (Citrix), Snap Shots, and Reboot
  • Server Role Administration, including Active Directory, DNS
  • IIS Configuration
  • SSL Configuration
  • Remote Desktop Administration
  • RAID Configuration
  • Configuration of PRTG Monitoring
Preferred Experience:
  • CPanel Configuration & Administration
  • Virtual Server Configuration (Setup from Scratch)
  • Virtual Server Administration (VMWare/Hyper-V)
  • Knowledge of:
o Cisco Routing, to include: static routes, SNMP, SNTP, and access control lists
o Dell/Cisco switching, to include: general, trunk, and LAG ports, SNMP and SNTP
  • Virtualization experience – designing, implementing and supporting varied virtualized environments for SMB at an intermediate level. Citrix Xenserver, VMware, Hyper-V
  • Familiar with ISCSI and Fiber Channel SAN Technology and implementation
  • Hands-on experience in a datacenter environment, to include: rack and stack, cabling, installation and build-out
  • Experience with spanning tree protocol, VLANs, switch interconnectivity (stacking), fiber-optic connectivity and best practices for layer 2 network design
