Location:
This role is based at our Middletown, VA facility.

What will you do?

Serve as internal point of contact for quality control/quality assurance technical issues, resolution
Lead investigations of product deviations, failures or changes, working closely with scientific staff to determine root cause- conduct Risk Analysis
Develop test methods as required for release testing
Manage Master Lots, NIST and other standards, date extensions as applicable
Develop validation protocols, assist with validation execution
Perform Value Assignment
Proficient in review and analysis of Quality Control laboratory/stability data
Serve as technical expert for OEM projects as applicable, data analysis
Serve as quality control representative on new product project teams including product transfers- manage and determine technical and personnel needs as appropriate- responsible for managing transfers from initiation to completion
Develop Inspection Plans
Design protocols for test system evaluations and product qualifications
Conducts in-depth technical audits of quality control laboratory to ensure regulatory compliance- audit certified
Train quality control personnel as required
Interface with customers as necessary to understand and resolve technical issues
Assist in audit preparation and participate as Subject Matter Expert as needed
Performs other duties as assigned.
How will you get here?

Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology or related field
3-5+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree in a scientific field or 2-3+ years of relevant experience with a Master’s Degree in a scientific field
Preferred experience in Clinical Chemistry and Microbiology

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Ability to design and implement statistical experiments to complete entire analytical projects with a minimum of supervision.
Ability to develop and apply new skills with a minimum of supervision.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make sound recommendations regarding project/product disposition.
Ability to analyze, identify and propose solutions to technical problems in a logical manner.
Ability to effectively communicate his/her ideas to people with varied backgrounds and degrees of technical understanding.
Demonstrated ability to organize complex work assignments dealing with the most sophisticated analytical systems to provide the soundest basis for disposition decisions.
