Under the supervision of the Chief Financial Officer, and working with the Staff Accountant, this full-time employee (at least 32 hours per week, 40 hours preferred) will perform various functions to enable this establishment to maximize the efficiency and efficacy of its financial operations.
Must be detail-oriented, self-driven with strong time-management skills. Have ability to effectively communicate with all departments. Must be able to handle confidential information/materials with discretion. Experience in bookkeeping and accounting required. Strong Experience with Sage Accounting, MS Excel and MS Word are very desirable.
Accounts Payable (prepare and code invoices, and handle cash disbursements)
Credit card statement reconciliation
Provide documentation as needed for Staff Accountant and CFO
Maintain file records and create new records as needed
Handle customer and other deposits and cash application
Compile reports as to show statistics such as cash receipts and expenditures, accounts payable and receivable and other items pertinent to operation of business
Certify, process and document certification for all ongoing and new day students and maintain benefit issuance list for National School Lunch Program
Compile school lunch report data from residential and education departments in order to inform reimbursement claim
Responsible for maintaining client clothing account balances, deposits and disbursements
Maintain inventory of client storeroom items
Perform other duties as may be required from time to time
Monday-Friday 40 hour (preferred) position – $15-$16 hourly.
