Work part- or full-time front desk for a top dog daycare, $15.50 to $17/hr
We are a growing and well-loved dog daycare looking to hire a part-time receptionist to join our tight-knit staff. This position can be between 15 to 25 hours per week, depending on preference and fit. It can also grow into a full-time member service associate position for the right candidate. (If there is a good fit, we can fast-track you into a full-time position.)
Shift times (exact times depend on preference and fit):
The AM shift is Mon-Fri starting at 7am, ending between 11am-1pm
The PM shift is Mon-Fri starting between 3-5pm and ending at 8pm
Also all-day shifts on weekends are available if interested
We have four locations:
Manhattan Midtown East (near 23rd Street and 1st Avenue)
Long Island City (near the Jackson/Vernon 7 train)
Checking in and out dogs
Getting to know the dogs and their parents and greeting them warmly
Making sure meals for dogs are properly organized
Taking dog parent requests by phone or in person and making sure they are recorded and passed along
Being the communications link between our dog parents and our dog handling staff
Helping out with general operations as needed
You must have an energetic and warm personality. You must have good computer skills. You must have good memory for names and excellent attention to detail. And you must love dogs!
Room to grow with us
The job starts at $15.50/hour after the initial probation at $15/hour. If you do well, you can grow to $17/hour or more with us, including to member service associate (handling all dog parent requests and issues, in person and by email), then possibly to a manager. We always promote from within.
