Summary: The Mortgage Operations Coordinator plays a pivotal role in facilitating the smooth processing of mortgage applications and ensuring timely completion of all necessary steps in the mortgage lending process. This position involves assigning members, prospects, and referrals to Mortgage Specialists, coordinating services such as title and appraisals, and diligently following up on initial disclosures to ensure compliance and member satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:

Assign members, prospects, and referrals to Mortgage Specialists on a daily basis.

Coordinate services such as title searches and appraisals for Mortgage Specialists as required for each application.

Follow up on initial disclosures sent to members to ensure receipt and obtain intent to proceed.

Reach out to members promptly regarding delayed or unsigned initial disclosures to expedite the process.

Monitor and manage the workflow of mortgage applications to ensure efficient processing.

Maintain accurate records and documentation related to assigned mortgage files.

Collaborate with Mortgage Specialists, underwriters, and other stakeholders to resolve any issues or delays in the mortgage process.

Provide regular updates to management on the status of assigned mortgage files and any potential bottlenecks or challenges.

Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies throughout the mortgage lending process.

Assist Mortgage Specialists in managing their workload and prioritizing tasks to meet established timelines.

Handle any additional administrative tasks or special projects as assigned by the Mortgage Services Manager.
Working Conditions:

Regular working hours may include evenings and weekends, depending on workload and deadlines.

Occasional travel may be required for training or meetings.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.

Prior experience in mortgage lending operations or related field is advantageous.

Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and documentation.

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with members and colleagues.

Proficiency in using mortgage processing software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.

Knowledge of mortgage lending regulations and compliance requirements is desirable.
