The Sales Administrative Assistant performs all basic clerical and administrative office tasks for the Sales department. He or she drafts letters and e-mails, answers calls internally and externally, receives messages and packages, and provides clerical support to the Sales Manager. In addition, the Administrative Assistant will provide support for computerized record management in creating documents, reports, charts, graphs, and presentations, and provides additional support to the Office Manager as needed.

The ideal candidate has an Associates or Bachelors degree and two years of progressively responsible experience in an administrative or sales position. He or she must have a pleasant and courteous personality, be extremely detail oriented, possess strong administrative and organizational skills, strong phone and computer skills, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinates questions and issues with the appropriate department personnel
Drafts outgoing correspondence (letters, e-mails, memos) and reports (charts, tables, graphs, etc.)
Provides clerical support, such as typing, filing, copying, data entry, and record keeping
Assists in the preparation of scheduled daily reports
Assists with market research
Routine tracking of freight to insure on-time arrival
Works directly with and provides clerical support to the Sales Manager
Supports the Office Manager in various administrative duties
Manages inbound communication, such as phone calls and messages, e-mails, and letters
Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
Associates or Bachelors degree minimum is required
Two years of administrative or sales experience required
Strong computer and internet skills, including Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
Highly professional, dependable, and productive with minimal supervision
Professional writing skills to compose memos, letters, and other business correspondence observing all rules of grammar, spelling, and punctuation
Strong data entry skills
Excellent telephone skills
Experience with tracking and shipping software preferred
