Human Resources Director – Consulting Services

Location: Nationwide (RSM Office Locations)

The Human Resources Director – Consulting Services (CS) Lead is responsible for the execution and alignment of the talent strategy for the National Consulting Line of Business (LOB). This position operates as a contributing member of the Field HR leadership team and reports directly to the Senior Director, Field HR Leader. The role partners directly with the National Consulting LOB Leader and ensures Field HR is consistent in delivering the LOB strategy across the firm to ensure alignment to strategy and maintaining quality client service delivery through the Consulting teams in all markets.

Essential Duties:
Talent Strategy & Execution:
Consulting/Business Fluency - Continually developing CS expertise and a deep understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing the LOB
Lead and partner with an eye to changes affecting the LOB in the future e.g. keeps pace with rapidly changing nature of work and workforce
Share Consulting SME knowledge and LOB strategies and initiatives with Field HR LOB Community that is driven to proactively meet the changing needs of the firm and practice strategies
Build strong relationships with Consulting leaders across the firm in order to understand talent trends, business needs, business direction and business strategy in order to deliver solutions that support positive business results
Ensure integration and collaboration between all points of the Matrix – LOB, Industry, Markets
Accountable to ensure enterprise alignment of Consulting LOB strategy regardless of location; creating a consistent Talent and Client experience for all our people
Seek opportunities for collaboration with HR Market Leads and National HR LOB Leads for increased efficiencies, continuity, and maintaining quality client service
Drives the RSM Talent strategy in alignment with firm strategy and holds accountable HR LOBs/Field HR to be consistent across the matrix
Set the tone for how we collaborate across the matrix to ensure clarity for team members and clients
Integrates, aligns and embeds diversity and inclusion in HR thought leadership and strategy

Advice & Coaching:
Cultivate and coach Consulting HR team members to be deep business partners of the firm focused on today and tomorrows opportunities and challenges
Mentors/coaches team members outside of immediate team through feedback, career opportunity discussions, and actively listening to employees
Serves as a career advisor and provides effective leadership to employees and/or teams through: communicating performance expectations, providing real-time feedback performance, recognition, coaching, creating career growth opportunities and employee development plans
Trusted business advisor and coach to firm leaders

Operations & Compliance:
Business fluency to understand how the firm operates and identify and interpret levers that impact firm performance
Delegates and leverages effectively to CS HR team members to ensure consistent and appropriate completion and implementation of strategy
Knowledgeable of relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies and sets a high standard for self and team to ensure compliance
Collaborates with other business advisors e.g. TA, LPD, Finance, Marketing, Resource Management to support talent strategy and firm initiatives
Other duties as assigned

Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business, HR or industrial relations

Experience:
Minimum 10 years of progressive broad-based HR experience required, 6 of which must be at the management level with deep Consulting experience

Professional services firm experience preferred

Demonstrated ability to work with others in a virtual environment to arrive at the desired outcomes with the ultimate end results
