The Sanitation Supervisor is responsible for managing the third-shift Sanitation Staff by giving direction on proper cleaning techniques, while ensuring that sanitation meets Lakeside Foods' highest standards. The Sanitation Supervisor is also responsible for ensuring root-cause analysis are performed to identify and correct deficiencies in sanitation processes, as well as managing Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This position is located at the Packaging Center.

What You’ll Do:
-
Manage and train full-time Sanitation Staff on cleaning techniques and using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Ensure sanitation concentrations are in specification daily prior to production.

Order necessary chemicals and sanitation supplies as needed.

Responds and mitigates issues and trends pertaining to environmental monitoring, Adenosine Tri-Phosphate/Typical Plate Count (ATP/TPC) sanitation verification, and microbiological deficiencies.

Assists in managing sanitation SOPs, perform periodic sanitation preoperational inspections, and ATP/TPC sanitation verification.

Ability to make decisions regarding food safety practices in the plant and convey those decisions to Management and Plant Staff.

Read, sign, adhere to, and live by the Commitment to Safety at Lakeside Foods’ policy and notify Manager immediately if any unsafe or potentially hazardous conditions are discovered.

Assist in managing Safety Data Sheets (SDS) compliance and documentation updating.

Should have or be willing to receive Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), Safe Quality Foods (SQF) and Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) training to be able to assist in record review.

Responsible for work accomplished by the personnel in the Sanitation Department.

Adhere to all Lakeside Foods policies and procedures.

May perform other duties as assigned.

Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Previous sanitation experience required.

Ability to handle personnel issues.
