About the Opportunity:
DMI (Digital Management, LLC.) is looking for a Front End Web Developer to support our client in Maryland.
Duties and Responsibilities:
To build, iterate and optimize pixel-perfect, mobile-first front-end experience for websites and web apps that adhere to the company’s branding guidelines and offer an unmatched user experience
To convert design mockups to XHTML/WordPress (or other CMS platforms) templates, and integrate these templates with the CMS back-end
To innovate and optimize design prototypes that are responsive (mobile-first), scalable and are friendly across various browsers and platforms
To ensure that the design elements adhere to coding best practices, existing Web (2.0) W3C standards and are compliant with 508/WCAG guidelines
To ensure that the design experience is SEO-friendly and facilitates easy conversion tracking and content usability
To integrate various frameworks, libraries, and search/social APIs, and build custom code to ensure seamless user experience and amplified content reach
To collaborate with design, content, development and digital marketing teams to understand specific requirements and ensure that the end results adhere to these
End-to-end planning, implementation and management of allocated design tasks through estimation/establishment of realistic timelines/WBS, and optimal project/time management through Agile Scrum methodologies
To be able to create UI components and design artifacts for web development
B.E./B.Tech./Graduate in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related technical discipline
~5 years of experience as a (Front End) Web Developer for WordPress (and other CMS platforms like Joomla, Drupal and Magento)
Must be able to produce published/archived samples of his/her work and undertake timed tests and assignments
Expertise in creating custom themes, custom plugins and ACF for WordPress and other CMS platforms
Management of source code through VCS/SVN tools like GIT/Mercurial
Thorough understanding and working knowledge of LAMP/WAMP
Understanding of UI/UX testing tools and protocols
Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
Ability to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, with little to no supervision required; must be self-driven, multi-tasker and a ferocious learner with a knack for keeping updated with latest (web and app) design standards and guidelines
Should be able to go the extra mile to meet stringent deadlines while making time for unplanned assignments; should adapt to changing priorities and fluctuating work pressures
Must be able to work as an individual contributor as well as a team player
Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills; detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication
