Responsibilities include but are not limited to teaching lessons as assigned by the English Language Institute; creating and delivering lesson plans based on current ESL theories and methodologies to assist students in achieving their educational goals. Preparing lesson syllabus for each course taught; maintaining records of student attendance and academic achievement. Assisting in materials selection and evaluation; informing ELI Administration of any problems with students, classrooms, pedagogical materials; starting and ending lessons on time; participating in faculty meetings and in-service workshops.
M.A. degree in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or related field, or TESOL Certificate. 2 – 5 years of experience teaching ESL / EFL to adults. Native or native-like fluency in English. Strong organizational skills.
Work hours are based on specific courses assigned.
