The Market Development Manager (MDM) is responsible for achieving sales plan by growing the Independent Business through New Business.
Key Job Responsibilities are as follows:
Driving sales and growth for a specific geography by Prospecting/Hunting new and competitive prospects
Gain Commitment of Single- Multi Stores from competitive banner programs
Assist customer store changeover process with the Independent Director of sales
Assist the Independent Director of sales with Succession Planning
Identifying potential new entrepreneurs and gaining commitment from them to join the CARQUEST Store program
Assist with new store growth opportunities
Key Skills Sets:
Strong ability to build relationships and a high level of trust with the customer
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or related field
10+ years’ B2B sales experience
4+ years in leadership sales position
Track record of superior performance metrics
Excellent negotiation skills
Strong decision-making abilities
Able to travel up to two weeks per month
Familiarity with CRM software
Travel to Florida, Georgia, East Alabama, Southern South Carolina
