Epic Games Unreal Engine team is looking for a smart, creative UI Programming Intern to join them for the 2019 summer in Cary, North Carolina. By the end of the summer internship, you will deliver UI and gameplay systems and features for Fortnite. We will provide a meaningful summer experience with high expectations for performance. Your days will include:
Building front-end features that tons of players will interface with
Contributing to Social Features, Challenges, Battle pass, Lobby, and Store
Working on the in-game Mini Map UI, or HUD
Building out Esports Features
Currently pursuing bachelors or masters degree in CS or related fields
Online Portfolio showcasing UI, HUD using C++ game or application is a must
Significant programming experience C++ through school work or outside activities
Solid understanding of Data Structures
Building user interfaces for games
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Top candidate will have experience working with Unreal Engine 4
Preference plusses given to UMG, scaleform or similar UI frameworks
This is a paid internship, running May 28 through August 16. All candidates must be eligible to work 40 hours per week on site in Cary, NC.
