Job Title: Receptionist
Reports To: Business Office Manager/Front Office Manager
Summary:
The Receptionist serves as the first impression of the community their kind eyes, warm smile and enthusiastic greeting set our tone. Whether in person or with our busy phones, your every interaction exemplifies our company values. He/she will execute receptionist and other responsibilities as defined in this job description to assist in the administration functions of the Community.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provides a positive first impression to all who enter the Community
- Answers and screens all incoming telephone calls in a courteous and professional
manner, routing calls and taking messages as appropriate
- Greets all visitors in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner
- Screens and requires visitors to “sign in” at reception desk
- Notifies Residents and Administration of visitors
- Instructs Resident’s visitor according to Resident’s instructions
- Receives and processes incoming mail or packages as needed
- Maintains and updates Emergency Log and keeps log at front desk
- Maintains and updates emergency contact information on each Resident and keeps
information at front desk
- Assists managers with various clerical responsibilities
- Pages associates as necessary
- Takes RSVPs for special functions, as necessary
- Assists with entering in maintenance requests and passes them onto the Maintenance
Director

Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- Two (2) years of related experience preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
- Must possess a high degree of interpersonal relations skills and ability to relate to a
variety of people and personalities
- Must have word-processing and clerical skills
- Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Must enjoy working with the elderly
- Knowledge of and demonstrated skills in general office procedures
- Strong organizational skills; oral and written communication skills
- Able to project a professional image
