Salient CRGT is seeking a Program Manager to join our project team in building and implementing enterprise grade software systems. Responsible for the successful technical, schedule, and cost performance of a major program, or multiple programs, through subordinate program/project managers, in accordance with contractual requirements.
Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs. Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages one or more programs of size and complexity, may manage an operating/field office, and supervises professional and technical personnel performing in their customary disciplines.
Maintains aggressive efforts to achieve objectives.
Prepares manpower staffing plans, including skill and labor mix, to support contract operations. May be responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and hiring staff.
Monitors contract, subcontract, and funding; prepares forecasts of program financial performance.
Acquires follow-on business associated with areas of responsibility and supports new business development by leading major proposals personally, or through subordinate program/project managers.
Manages and integrates a large size program staff that includes subcontractors or suppliers and task or project leads.
Provides guidance and direction to the internal cross functional team.
Mandatory Qualifications (Education, Certifications, Experience, Skills)
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.
This position requires up to 50% travel.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree is required. A Master’s Degree / MBA is preferred. 8 – 12 years of Program Management experience supporting US Government customers.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
The ability to maintain a Public Trust Clearance is required.
Desired Qualifications (Education, Certifications, Experience, Skills)
Preferred Education and Experience
PMP Certification preferred, Service Desk Management experience is preferred. Experience supporting a nation-wide portfolio of programs preferred. Experience in the Government “Health” sector preferred (VA - HHS and subordinate agencies, VA, etc)
