The US Navy Ready Relevant Learning (RRL) Content Conversion project is to employ innovative instructional design and assessment strategies in conjunction with new and modernized technology. The goal of RRL is to provide the right training at the right time in the right way to improve the transfer of training to the work environment.
As part of this effort, SAIC currently has a contingent job opportunity for a Quality Assurance Technician II. This position can be remote/telework, but preference will be given to candidates in the following regions:
San Diego, CA

This position is contingent upon contract award.
The Quality Assurance Technician will implement a quality assurance program in support of Navy training development. The Quality Assurance Technician will continuously evaluate the effectiveness of existing quality assurance and quality control programs, identify needed improvements, and make recommendations to modify the existing program. The successful candidate will follow quality assurance processes and procedures, ensure quality assurance process adherence, and conduct quality assurance checks on products throughout the development process. The selected candidate will interact with the Instructional Design and Training Content Development teams to resolve all issues relating to product quality.
This position is also responsible for creating and maintaining process documentation, including, but not limited to: test plans, workflow, processes and policies.
The ideal candidate has experience with developing and executing formal test plans/test scripts to ensure the delivery of quality courseware applications. This position is responsible for developing test plans, creating test scripts, and execution of QA functions. Define and track quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results and test status. Document problems and coordinate with the PM and team to their resolution. Performs quality reviews and audits to ensure quality standards, procedures and methodologies are being followed. This position requires attention to detail, as well as demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines, prioritize workload, manage time efficiently, and work/lead in a team environment.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS AND ABILITY:
Considerable knowledge of the job. Complete acquaintance with and understanding of the general and detailed aspects of the job and their practical applications to problems and situations ordinarily encountered. Supervision Received: General supervision and instructions given for routine work, and detailed instructions given for new activities or special assignments.

BASIC EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- AA Degree in related discipline and one year related experience; Or, High School and two (2) years of related experience with relevant certification.
