Responsibilities:
About the Role:
The Space Planner I will review interior design, construction plans, and specifications as well as coordinate and conduct on-site inspections to ensure proper space planning measures and design standards are utilized. The successful candidate will monitor and update key Facilities reports relating to the physical footprint and built environment. This will include occupancy, internal lease data, space plans, etc. This team member also has contact with vendors, brokers, property management, and corporate offices.The Space Planner I is responsible for coordinating facility related vendors and maintaining facility process and procedures on related occupancy related manners. This team member will interact with internal and external personnel at all levels. The Space Planner I provides support to the Facilities department as needed.
JOB DUTIES

Manages, maintains, and updates a computerized asset management system and databases to facilitate and expedite the usability, accuracy, integrity and availability of data for planning and space utilization purposes

Conducts analyses, efficiency studies, and strategic planning initiatives for determining actual facilities and space characteristics and need

Helps develop space utilization recommendations and solutions to unique project planning, engineering and administrative problems as needed

Keeps abreast of technological developments, which are related to the development or modification of computerized systems; reviews, evaluates, and recommends support tools, software, and related technology

Assist with the management of simultaneous move and renovation projects and schedules

Coordinate the purchasing, delivery and installation as required including, but not limited to furniture, cabling, carpet, etc

Assist with coordinating projects with building engineering and/or property management

Prioritize, schedule, and monitor requests

Meets with affected departments to recommend changes in space utilization or assignment; and identify and resolve conflicts associated with space planning

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Ability to select furniture, materials, and finishes that are in line with the company aesthetic and budget

CAFM, CMMS, or IWMS experience is highly desirable

Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Associate Degree preferred

Bachelor’s Degree preferred

2-4 years in related field preferred
