The Legal Department of JPMorgan Chase & Co is responsible for the provision of legal services to the firm and is organized by practice groups that generally align with the firm’s lines of business and corporate staff areas. This structure permits legal teams and businesses and staff areas to address legal, regulatory and business developments effectively and in a timely manner.
This role will support lawyers on various legal teams and will work on administration, projects, document review and strategic initiatives, including:
managing a shared mailbox of requests from internal clients and assigning to the team
document preparation and review
project management, including tracking progress of projects and initiatives
preparation of presentation materials
meeting scheduling and coordination
travel arrangements and expense processing

Create and maintain online content (e.g., intranet).
Actively participate in department projects and strategic initiatives.
Develop appropriate trackers for document review and other projects.
Maintain Practice Group specific policies and procedures.
Assist in developing and coordinating meeting agendas and recording action items
Prior experience as a paralegal with a large law firm or a financial institution would be a plus but not required.
Proven technical skills, highly proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, etc.), Adobe Professional and SharePoint, with demonstrated ability to learn and master new technology such as document management, matter and spend management systems quickly.
Enthusiastic, self-motivated, effective under pressure, proactive, and flexible. Able to work with minimal supervision.
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills required with the ability to produce high quality emails and messages to individuals at all levels of the organization.
