Researches, develops, designs, and tests a variety of equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial and industrial purposes. Independently applies advanced engineering techniques and analysis within the discipline. Develops designs that require innovation and ingenuity. Work performed with minimal supervision; has considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Under direct supervision, performs engineering activities
Must be capable of preparing specifications, data sheets, inquiries and technical bid tabs, and performing drawing reviews of mechanical equipment.
Prepare technical bid evaluations and make recommendations for purchase
Review supplier data to assure specifications and project requirements are met
Review critical path and long lead equipment packages
Provide technical direction for project machinery selection
Coordinate client requirements and standards
Interface with suppliers for compliance with equipment performance metrics
Keen safety awareness

Qualifications

Recognized Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in engineering or technical field from an accredited college or University required
10+ years' of experience with engineering design of pressure vessel's is required
Working knowledge of: ASME code, API standards, Requisitioning, Bid Tabulations, Vendor Data Review, Compress and AutoCAD

Must be able to perform field walks and climb vessels and towers

Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) required
Excellent oral and written communication skills required
California PE: Preferred
