Financial Reporting & Analysis for monthly Corporate expense P&L and Cash Flow statements
Provides strategic and financial support to Baxter's Corporate functions including, Information Technology, Finance, Human Resources, Legal, Communications and Corporate Strategy.
With annual operating expenses of more than $600M, this position requires collaboration with senior leadership on key program performance including milestones, and financial performance.
In addition to support of the Corporate functions, this position will help support Business Transformation initiatives, Cash Flow forecasting and reporting objectives, as well as ad hoc projects as they arise.
Responsible for monthly consolidation of Corporate operating expense P&L and Cash Flow statement, coordinating associated analytics throughout the team, and ensuring financial accuracy in reported figures
Act as trusted business partner, leveraging financial and business expertise to drive strategic decisions
Manage, review and execute month end close processes, including preparing or reviewing month-end close entries and developing variance analysis of actuals vs. targets
Lead areas of the comprehensive planning processes (long range plan, forecasts, operating plan) and monthly financial reviews with senior function leaders and Corporate Controller
Perform ad hoc analysis and modeling for various financial initiatives
Ensure proper accounting treatment and internal controls are in place for business processes
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 5-8 years of relevant work experience
Strong accounting and financial knowledge, including understanding of internal control requirements and accounting principles as well as understanding of relevant business environment.
Key success criteria include analytical and process management skills, intermediate / advanced Excel skills, ability to deal with ambiguity and comfort managing through complexity and change
Strong written and oral communication skills, ability to work in a team environment, and time management and problem-solving skills are critical
MBA or CPA preferred
