Salary Grade ($57,125 - $91,971) FLSA Exempt
The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned.
Supervises, directs, and evaluates assigned staff; develops and oversees employee work schedules to ensure adequate coverage and control; compiles and reviews timesheets; approves/processes employee concerns and problems and counsels or disciplines as appropriate; develops performance measures for staff; provides feedback to employees on performance, customer compliments/complaints; assists with or completes employee performance appraisals; and trains staff in operations, policies, and procedures.
Organizes, prioritizes, and assigns work; prioritizes and schedules work activities in order to meet objectives; ensures that subordinates have the proper resources needed to complete the assigned work; monitors status of work in progress and inspects completed work; and consults with assigned staff to assist with complex/problem situations and provide technical expertise.
Coordinates with community partners, facilitators, providers, and other agencies to provide services to juveniles and families; partners with agencies within the community to provide counseling, individual and family therapy, medication management, and other mental health services; and ensures appropriate services are provided to juveniles referred to the court.
Recruits, screens and trains volunteers for assigned programs; advertises for community volunteers; speaks at community events to educate the community about the program and the need for volunteers; screens and interviews interested applicants; checks references and orders criminal history checks; conducts training program for new volunteers; provides ongoing training, legislative updates and support group meetings as needed; publishes newsletters and activity calendars; and provides feedback to volunteers about program issues and participation.
Ensures program effectiveness and compliance with applicable local, state and federal laws, rules, and regulations; conducts meetings with program stakeholders, treatment providers, participants, and team members to review guidelines, policies, and procedures; analyzes and evaluates program; ensures proper utilization of resources; establishes and maintains quality control
procedures; and investigates and resolves questions, issues, and technical problems related to assigned program.
Provides direction and administrative support to judicial officers as related to court program and processing of legal cases; coordinates scheduling; conducts research; provides information and staff for court proceedings; makes recommendations; and provides testimony as needed.
Processes referrals from other areas of court; reviews cases referred by court; receives information and legal documents; conducts family conferences and assessments to determine eligibility for admission to programs; and prepares program related intake.
Participates in administration of division budget; analyzes budget and provides feedback on cost saving strategies; analyzes programs for cost effectiveness; and makes related recommendations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology, Social Work, Criminal Justice, or a related field required; three years of experience in providing or coordinating court programs and services; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
Specific License or Certification Required: Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver's license.
