Education Requirements: High School Diploma or GED. Completion of a military or vocational school.

Months/Years of Experience: Meet the minimum requirements for an Aircraft Mechanic Level I or Electronics Technician Maintenance Level I. Must have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in aviation maintenance, test and / or related experience in a comparable aerospace industry of similar size and operational complexity.

Required Qualifications: Must be able to read and interpret aeronautical drawings and written procedures and formulate project estimates. Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees throughout the organization. Must be able to develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external customers. Must be able to obtain and retain a Security Clearance. Must have experience in working with MS Office, Excel, MS Word and Power Point software.

Duties: Provide onsite dedicated test facilitators to act as liaison between the contractor and the COR at AFTD. Participate, as a member of the Test Programs management team in formulating, establishing and enforcing organizational policies and operating procedures for the company. Provide the Manager, Test Programs with timely information and periodic reports pertaining to the overall status of active and planned projects (e.g., schedules, resources, installation and removal of test items to the aircraft). Prepare and coordinate all required test reports and submits reports to AFTD for approval within the time frame specified by the COR. Coordinate directly with DA and contract test engineers and project directors on all electrical and structural test designs and instrumentation requirements, and ensure that project requirements are properly coordinated with all AFTD departments. Ensure attention to detail is provided for every test project, including necessary follow up on test projects test plans and aircraft with support personnel. Through the use of automated daily reports (cost, flight hours, temporary duty, man-hours, material costs, and other related costs, by cost center), monitor man-hour estimates against actual man-hours expended to ensure that project funds are not exceeded. Play an active part in problem resolution, communicating plan to customers, and following up to ensure problems are resolved. Identify and ensure customer requirements are met, and assess and analyze data to determine customer satisfaction. Report all deviations from established policies or procedures, changes caused by the contractor, federal, or state requirements, or non-compliance with regulations and changes.

Desired Qualifications: FAA Airframe License or FCC License preferred.
