Plaza Psychology and Psychiatry is a large private practice in northern Rhode Island that serves a diverse community in terms of socio-economic status, ethnicity and diagnosis.
We're seeking a licensed therapist interested in building a private practice in a warm, collegial atmosphere. We work with children, adults, couples and families, and groups and neuropsychological testing are possible. We have a great referral network including local physicians and clinics, and of course internal referrals and word of mouth, which keep a constant stream of referrals coming in. Based on past experience, we would expect anyone entering the practice to fill their caseload quickly (once credentialing goes through). Therapists are able to choose which types of cases they're most comfortable with, to a reasonable extent.
Other features of our company are: five prescribers, as well as couples and family therapists, so that referrals are easy and collaboration is the norm; a front desk staff that can help with everything from scanning paperwork to calling insurance companies; bi-weekly peer supervision; electronic medical records; and complete flexibility of schedule and vacations. Our philosophy is that this is your practice to design how you like, so you pick your hours. At this time we're considering both part-time and full-time applicants.
Salary is competitive and depends on how much you work. Plaza simply bills out the work that you do, and then takes a cut in order to pay for the building, the support staff, the printing and the tissues. Because of pay scale, we slightly prefer psychologists. If you have any questions and/or would like to set up an interview, please don't hesitate to contact us.
