Albright College is seeking applications for Strength and Conditioning Specialist. As strength and conditioning specialist, this person is responsible for creating and administering sport specific training programs for student athletes. Essential Job Functions:
1. Design, implement, and oversee sport-specific strength and conditioning programs for all varsity sports teams.
2. Conduct group training sessions and create weight room lifting schedules that focus on improving athletic performance, injury prevention, and overall fitness.
3. Collaborate with head coaches and athletic trainers to develop and adjust training programs based on team needs, performance goals, and injury status.
4. Maintain accurate records of training programs, athlete progress, and performance metrics.
5. Develop and implement strategies for injury prevention and rehabilitation in collaboration with athletic trainers.
6. Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and contribute to departmental goals.
7. Bi-monthly inspection of all strength training pieces and free weight equipment and report any repairs or replacements to director of the fitness center.
8. Monthly maintenance/lubrication to strength training machines.
Qualifications/Prerequisites:

3. EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE
- Experience with development and management of strength training programs at the college/university level is preferred.
4. EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree required, Master’s degree preferred, in Exercise Physiology/Kinesiology or related field.
5. LICENSES
- Applicant must hold a nationally recognized Strength and Conditioning Certification, NSCA, CSCS and CPR/FA/AED Certification.
