Duties
Summary
This position is located in the Office of Field Operations (West), San Francisco Field Division, Sacrament I Field Office in Sacramento, CA.

Performs investigative research and analytical functions in support of the Bureau's law enforcement or regulatory mission.

Responsibilities
Provides investigative, inspection and intelligence support towards the office mission by conducting trend analysis, statistical review and special projects involving data from a variety of sources. Conducts analytical research on criminal or regulatory related data, and generates informational reports.
Identifies and selects appropriate software for use in automating various administrative reports such as travel, inventory, training, etc., as well as preparing visual charts, graphs, etc., for use in cases, trials, and hearings.
Conducts routine intelligence-related tasks in support of ongoing investigative, inspection and intelligence activities for the assigned office. Conducts analysis of database information and produces output.
Prepares duty rosters, tracks overtime pay, handles mail, and serves as the liaison with diversion operations to ensure new employees and the Division are provided needed information for employees to enter on duty.
Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progresses.

Qualifications
To qualify for the GS-9: You must have at least one year of specialized experience at, or equivalent to, the GS-7 Federal grade level. Specialized experience for the position is defined as experience in or related to investigations of criminal violations that provided the knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience providing investigative or inspection support for a law enforcement organization; assisting with trend analysis and statistical studies for a law enforcement organization; and summarizing reports and extracting essential intelligence information to brief superiors.

Interagency Career Transition Assistance Plan (ICTAP). The ICTAP provides eligible displaced Federal competitive service employees with selection priority over other candidates for competitive service vacancies. Education
Two full years of graduate education or a master's degree, LL.B, J.D., or equivalent degree that demonstrates the competencies needed to do the work of the position may be substituted for the experience required; OR a combination of education and experience as listed above.
