About the role

The Senior Director of MarComm will be responsible for strategizing and executing all marketing, communications and event initiatives that facilitate and drive sales growth across Feizy’s various market segments. He/She will work with Product Development & Design, Sales and Feizy's executive team to create innovative marketing materials, compelling campaigns and other creative assets for multi-channel use, within our brand style and guidelines, to effectively reach audiences. In order to be considered for this role, you must be equal-parts creative and business minded, with the ability to write copy to be used a cross a variety of print and digital mediums for a wide range of audiences, create compelling graphics alongside the graphic design team, possess an eye for the photography and interior design trends that appeal to our customers and value working across departments with passionate teammates. Other responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate with and manage various departments/teams to ensure all market-time needs (customer, sales and press) are met
  • Plan and execute special events as required- including, CEUs, industry functions, etc.
  • Oversee advertising, media planning and public relations
  • Create annual budget proposal for media planning, negotiate spend deliverables with publications and execute ad insertions
  • Manage corporate editorial calendar and internal/external initiatives – including digital efforts (i.e. email and social campaigns) and co-op/paid partnerships.
  • Plan, prepare and effectively communicate corporate and product news with press, internal sales and others as required
  • Serve as the main copywriting resource in marketing, maintain company brand, tone standards and collaborate internally with key stakeholders on content discovery
  • Collaborate with and oversee the performance of Director of Art and Graphic Design to create and conceptualize creative concepts and marketing materials
  • Collaborate with the Director of Digital Project Management to ensure all digital assets (and related enhancements, processes and projects) launch and continue to run smoothly
  • Supervise and train Marketing team members by providing insightful coaching and/or professional development opportunities to grow their skills and contribute to the team and company in a meaningful way
  • Conduct supervisory responsibilities for direct reports including reviews, promotions, hiring and terminations
  • Draft annual marketing budget for overall planning purposes, explore and negotiate cost-savings solutions related to department expenses (print shop, signage, other vendors, etc.)
  • Ensure that all Marketing-related initiatives, deliverables, events, etc. occur as scheduled and within budget
  • Develop a deep understanding of Feizy products and related marketplaces. Participate in projects that span the organization
  • Stay current with latest trends and methods, directly related to this position, and attend or take company-provided training as directed by management

About you

  • 7+ years of experience in B to B marketing communications, advertising or PR with 3+ years in supervisory/managerial capacity
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Marketing, PR, Business or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in event management
  • Digitally savvy, with the ability to track and analyze a campaign's effectiveness
  • Strategic planner with innovative problem-solving skills
  • Remarkable interpersonal communication skills and aptitude for cultivating strong working relationships
  • Exceptional listening skills with service-minded attitude and approach to client needs (internal & external)
  • Ability to understand context and cultural distinction to communicate effectively and respectfully
  • Outstanding organizational skills with demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and work efficiently under tight deadlines
  • Ability to adapt to project circumstances and re-prioritize work load
  • Skillful coaching methods and passionate about professional development
  • Fiscal capabilities, with a bottom-line mentality, to successfully manage budgetary responsibilities
